Ignored

Have you ever said something and saw the words vanishing in thin air? Or worse, no one asked you anything at all. You are invited in a meeting but you have no role to play there. No update to give,no questions asked. But you need to be present in that meeting every single time. What a waste of time and energy.

I have faced this before and facing it now. Silence is much more powerful than words. Your silence  adds pressure on you to be prepared for the worse,to look for alternatives. You crave stability and you are looking forward to grow in an organisation and you are looking for a mentor. You want to contribute but no one asks you to. You expect some mentoring but all you see is senior teammates fighting for little more authority, trying to create more dependency. Trying to cut you off. You get adjusted with the silence, the pressure, the sound of fan and random noise in meeting. The discussion is nothing but random noise to you because you are invited in the meeting but not involved in anything.

You have been asked to create dependency in poject but how? you have always been an introvert and you can sense the insecurity in seniors when any work is given to you and you ask for their help. Your intuition tells you to back off and you listen to the warning.

You are asked to give KT to someone new in team and you wonder what work she will do when you did not have any. When one or two senior is taking care of everything in team then why they need new resources. You still give her KT and start updating your cv simultaneously . Someday you clear an interview and your package and responsibility grows once more.

You join a new company and new team and same cycle continues...
